Emergency Services
Microbus has major installations in each of the three UK Emergency Services including London's Metropolitan Police Service, the London Ambulance Service NHS Trust and Norfolk Fire Service. We have a wealth of experience in the field and provide mobile data hardware to benefit today's mobile workforce. |
 |
Police
Microbus has played a major role in helping to develop successful mobile data solutions for many of the UK’s Police Forces. With tried, tested and approved installations of the M-PC systems in place, many overseas Forces are now looking to adopt this technology in their vehicle fleets to gain benefit from such tools as ANPR, CAD and AVLS. |
 |
Fire
The M-PC systems are ideally suited to meet the needs of the Fire Services providing vital incident information, address details with fastest routing information & Hazard Management databases to the Fire Fighters without delay. Efficient data communication plays a vital part in ensuring that crucial details of each incident are on hand and current, thus reducing the all important response times in life and death situations. |
 |
Ambulance
Being able to respond to calls rapidly, efficiently and accurately is seen as a major objective for all ambulance crews. Microbus M-PC systems have been deployed in ambulance fleets to further enable crews to meet their response targets providing faster and more accurate data from crucial emergency call information to vital navigation instructions, improved vehicle system monitoring, messaging and information management. |
 |
Coast guard
Not only for use on land, the Microbus M-PC systems are a proven rugged platform for mobile data communications within Sea Rescue Vessels. Sea Rescue crews are able to save vital rescue time by establishing the location and identification of support helicopters and ambulances through the M-PC system as well as having access to status reporting, navigation and message handling. |

Carter Ground Fueling (fuel bowsers)
Our customer ‘Carter Ground Fueling’ has a requirement for extended serial capability to enable them to design and produce an ‘intelligent’ refueling bowser for airport use. By involving Microbus’s design at an early stage, the solution was successfully achieved and several hundred units have now been supplied for use at airports within the UK and internationally. |
 |
Local Government
Mobile technology such as the M-PC systems are being increasingly deployed by government agencies, councils and other public service bodies to increase the productivity of field staff and improve services to the citizen. |
 |
Utilities
Energy and water utilities depend upon mobile data technology to manage field service operations. The use of In-vehicle PCs can ensure efficient job despatching, paperless updating of technical data and accurate navigation enable workers to be more efficient and effective. In addition, more time can be spent in the field with the need for trips back to the office being greatly reduced. |
 |
Rail Industry
Mobile data technology allows railway workers access to critical information at their fingertips; immediate notification can be made if faults are detected. Voice and text messages can be sent in real-time between train driver, station and depot staff, increasing the speed of response to potentially disruptive events and ensuring that public safety is not compromised. |
