The LINX is a rugged and ergonomic demountable tablet PC built around the needs of the field-based worker. It features a large daylight-viewable touchscreen, a range of integrated wireless connectivity including 3G, EDGE, GPRS, HSDPA, Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS allowing the user to choose the best communication options for their environment.

Microbus Ltd is the leading supplier of In-vehicle Computers to the UK Emergency Services, most significantly the London Metropolitan Police Service and the London Ambulance Service NHS Trust. The M-PC2 is the third generation of In-vehicle Computer from Microbus and is an advanced PC for use in all types of vehicles.

Microbus Ltd is a specialist company that designs and manufactures In-vehicle Computers at its factory, at High Wycombe (30 minutes drive from Heathrow Airport). With some twenty years experience in PC design and development for rugged environments Microbus has a comprehensive understanding of the problems faced in running computers in vehicles and the technological demands involved.

With the wide-spread availability of digital radio networks including GSM, 3G, GPRS, TETRA (Airwave), Tetrapol and Mobitex the uses of In-vehicle Computers, such as the M-PC2, are growing rapidly. Thousands of Microbus computers are installed in UK Emergency Service vehicles as well as in Taxis and Public Utility vehicles. The M-PC2 can be adapted for use in any vehicle in any industry that requires Windows® applications in the vehicle.

Microbus is an ISO9001 certified company whose products are built and tested to the highest standards. Microbus only uses PC boards that are designed and manufactured in-house. The In-vehicle Computers are independently tested and certified to meet the European legal requirement of "e-mark", the UN’s “E-mark” and the UK Police Information Technology Organisation's A&ES5 issue 10. Full support is provided by our technical support team located at High Wycombe.

Any organisation that has a fleet of vehicles and is looking to use computers in them would be welcome to discuss their requirements with us. We have experience of supplying In-vehicle Computers to support many simultaneous applications including Automatic Number Plate Recognition systems (ANPR), Computer Aided Dispatching systems (CAD), Police Video/Traffic Law Enforcement systems, Automatic Vehicle Location Systems (AVLS), Mapping and Satellite Navigation (SatNav) systems, remote database access, lightbar control and internet/intranet access.
